Introducing myself

My name is Raffaella Canziani, L’arte dei Decori is my Atelier.
My designs are inspired by the emotions that my Venice gives me with its wonderful colours, strong scents, the noise of water and boats in the canals, the wind along with the buzz of voices in the background, its contradictions ..
I studied at the Carmini School of Arts in Venice. I inherited from my parents my artistic creativity and craftsmanship.
For over 25 years I create handmade papier-mâché masks and for some time I also create precious jewellery in fabric and metal, using typically Venetian techniques.

In each of my creations, I put tradition, passion, imagination, originality, harmony and professionalism.. Every creation comes out from an emotion, it tells a story and touches the soul of the person wearing it.

Never but unique pieces. They are masks - strictly in paper mache - Worked and decorated by hand in the wake of the noblest Venetian tradition; or whether it's joys and jewelry, made in the frame and embellished with Swarovski crystal elements. The creations of "The Art of Decorations" by Raffaella Canziani really are a hymn to the inventiveness, the "learned manual" and the know-how typical of crafts artisans authentically. Those trades that still know would offer unique pieces, and tell us something about people who make them.
